Eldridge Path

The conversation before the crisis

Talk about the hard stuff while everyone is still at the table.

Eldridge Path is the first step Canadian families take before calling a lawyer, funeral home, or estate planner. It helps you and your loved ones organize the home, money, wishes, and what-ifs — so you walk into every meeting prepared, not panicked.

An AI guide that turns hard conversations into a plan

A secure Canadian family workspace where an AI guide asks the questions most families avoid, organizes the answers, and turns them into a practical roadmap. It knows CPP and OAS, provincial probate, RRSPs and RRIFs, and what an executor or liquidator actually has to do — ask in plain words, in English or French, before you sign in.

What to sort out before you call anyone

Your family works through six areas together, in one secure place — so when you do call a lawyer, funeral home, or accountant, you walk in prepared, not panicked.

Track all of this with your family in Eldridge Path — now welcoming pilot families.

Why not just a shared folder or a binder?

A folder holds files. A binder holds paper. Neither one asks your family the questions, keeps track of who's doing what, or tells you what the rules are in your province.

Eldridge Path is a secure Canadian workspace with an AI guide that turns hard family conversations into a plan everyone can see.

Your home and retirement options

For most Canadian families, the house is the biggest decision and the last one anyone talks about. Answer six questions and see which options are worth reading about — stay, adapt, downsize, rent out space, or borrow against it. Educational only, no products, nothing saved.

What the funeral home handles — and what's left to you

Funeral homes are excellent at what they do. Their job just ends much earlier than most families expect.

Your funeral home takes care of

  • Transport and care of your loved one
  • Burial, cremation, or donation arrangements
  • The service, visitation, and obituary placement
  • Registering the death with the province
  • Ordering death certificate copies
  • Notifying Service Canada of the death

Eldridge Path walks you through

  • CPP/QPP death benefit and survivor's pension applications
  • The final tax return and CRA or Revenu Québec accounts
  • Probate, the will, and the executor or liquidator role
  • Banks, RRSP/RRIF/TFSA transfers, and beneficiary designations
  • Life insurance claims, pensions, and group benefits
  • Property title, mortgage, utilities, licences, and health card
  • Who in the family does what, and in what order
  • Getting all of it written down before it's ever needed

Roughly: the funeral home covers the first week. Eldridge Path covers the year that follows — and the preparation before.

Why Eldridge Path exists

Eldridge Path began with a personal question: Why do families spend a lifetime building something to leave behind, yet so often avoid talking about what they want, what they have and what should happen next?

After watching friends lose loved ones and struggle through unfamiliar decisions while grieving, our founder looked for one place that could help families prepare together — before a crisis — and guide them through the practical steps afterward.

He couldn't find one that brought the home, money, care wishes, important records and family responsibilities together.

So he built Eldridge Path.

Because preparing for what comes next isn't about focusing on death. It's about protecting the people we love — and making better use of the time we still have together.
